I have been wandering in the wilderness for many years. One Sunday morning in July/August 2004, my wife Rena and I met our old friends and were invited to attend the Moses Dinner. In the past, I was hesitant to accept any invitations but this time I accepted the invitation to the Moses Anniversary Dinner on 21 st August 2004.

At the Moses Anniversary Dinner, 21st August 2004 , I was feeling a little uneasy initially. However as we progressed through the dinner and chatted with the new friends we just met, I felt more at ease and comfortable. Praise God for giving me the courage and strength.

Rena, Yuan Rong (my son) and I attended the Sunday service the next day 22nd August 2004 , I was touched and convicted by the Holy Spirit. I confessed my sins, opened my heart and received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour the same morning. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord. I felt relieved that both Rena and I are now God’s children, and we are filled with His Holy Spirit. The old had gone and the new has come, we are our Lord’s new creations.

We quickly immersed ourselves in Oikos. The first Oikos meeting we attended was on 27th August. The Lord touched and ministered to us through the sharing of testimonies by our Oikos’ members and our brothers and sisters in Bethesda Cathedral.

We attended The Basic of Christian Living class. The first of seven lessons commenced on 29 th August 2004 . Through these lessons we learnt of God’s grace and great mercy. That it is “by grace we have been saved, through faith”. God is faithful. He forgives our sins when we confess them. God loves us so much that He gives His only begotten Son, to redeem all our sins and provide a way for eternal life.

On 18th September 2004 , our daughter Yu Lin finally joined us in worshipping at Bethesda Cathedral. We gave thanks to God, for answering our prayers. Yu Lin was touched by the presence of God and convicted by the Holy Spirit. She confessed her sins and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior that same day in Bethesda Cathedral. God is great and He is worthy to be praised. Hallelujah!

Since knowing the Lord, Jesus Christ, our lifestyle has changed drastically. We are spending more time in God’s Word and in prayers. We want to know our living God better and to be closer to Him. We want to live in Him as He lives in us. We want to do things His Way, do things that please Him, and do things that glorify His Name. I thank God that my family can come together to worship His Majesty, to lift our hands to exalt His Holiness and glorify Him. Our prayer to God is that He will help my family to be more and more like Jesus in our daily life.

I entrust all my problems, worries, anxieties, and fear to Him. Our God is trustworthy; He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Many problems, be they small, big, tough, or teething problems; just simply get resolved and disappeared. I believe God has His hands in these. Praise the Lord, for He is our Great Counselor and Comforter. He is our Prince of Peace, I can sleep soundly and peacefully even with all the unceasing worldly problems and worries.

We completed the Pre-Baptismal Class and were baptized on 20th August 2005, one year after we first came to Bethesda .

I pray to God that He will bless and save our loved ones. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, our Redeemer. Hallelujah! Our God is great and worthy to be praised. We give God all the glory, all the honors, all the praises, and all the blessings.
