"As he prayed I felt God’s Spirit filled me,
this peace and joy I felt is indescribable..."
 I visited a gynecologist for a pap smear in late April 2006 which I’ve not done for almost 3 years. When my result was out the doctor called immediately telling me I have cervical cancer and need to go for colposcopy and leepcone biopsy (procedure to remove the area that is affected) without delay. She further explained that the healing for this procedure require a 3 month period and then a repeated pap smear has to be done and if there is any malignant cell present they will then need to remove my womb.
I believe no one can experience peace receiving such news and I’m not exception especially when I lost my loved ones battling with this dreadful disease somehow I know what to expect from this ailment. On one hand I’m glad that the time to see the Lord is drawing closer and on the other my only concern is that my daughter is still young to be on her own.
I went ahead with the procedure and experience heavy bleeding which resulted me in feeling lethargic that made me stay home often to rest. When sister Maisie knew about my condition she arranged for me to see Pastor Tay to pray for healing. Though my condition needs time to recuperate I know God’s healing power is taking place because there’s no anxiety in me any more and remembering in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says ‘Be joyous always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus’
In my bible studies, I learnt to pray specifically and expectantly and God will show us proofs and assurances like confirming circumstances, guidance received is in accord with the basic principles of God’s word and finally is a deep peace within.
God does not tire repeating his promises. He knows we need to be reminded of His assurance and I can testify to that.
When Rev Kobus Van Rensburg was here in May for the healing service one evening, everyone was queuing to walk along the healing pool that was blessed by Rev Kobus with healing oil and church members were helping to splash the healing water onto everyone. As I follow the queue my vision was blurred with the water in my eyes and I could not see who was the one holding me back laying hands on me until he prayed over me and this familiar voice is none other than Pastor Tay.
As he prayed I felt God’s spirit filled me, this peace and joy I felt is indescribable at first I was a little shock but at the same time I felt comforted that my pastor praying for so many people with different ailments yet can pray specifically for individually for what they are suffering from. Bless you Pastor!
With God’s proof of assurance I’m healed and true enough when I see my doctor for my follow up she declared I’m 100% healed. Hallelujah!
