Healed and Restored My Left Elbow
Donald Khong

On Sat, 2 April, some of our oikos members decided to have an evening of family get-together of cycling and rollerblading at the beach park nearby.

An accident happened while I was rollerblading with my daughter.

As we were nearing a "rough" path, my daughter remembered it and advised that we should turn around to take another path to avoid it.   Instead, I continued, went through that path, lost control, slipped and landed on my back, just like falling over slippery ground.

During the hard landing, both my palms went flat onto the rough ground and my hands from shoulder downwards just absorbed the full impact of the fall, abnormally compressing the entire elbow joint.  The next thing I knew was that my left elbow began to snap with cracking sounds as I sat there.   At that moment, my first thought was, "That's it! My left elbow is broken"

Embarrassed, I managed to stand up.  Then putting my right hand over the affected left elbow and calling out Jesus for His divine healing while making my way to meet with the rest of our group.

Immediately, I asked my daughter to lay hands and pray over my left elbow. Thereafter, I asked a brother and later my family to lay hands and pray for me.

That night, the pain started to increase.  I felt the internal throbbing and heat in my elbow that had swelled up by then.  I could not lift or move my left hand and elbow freely.

As the next day was the Holy Communion Sunday, I asked God for His strength so that I could be in church to worship and serve Him.

After the service, I approached Pastor Tay to pray for my left elbow for healing and restoration.  Pastor Tay took my left arm and rebuked the pain, the discomfort and spoke wholeness into my arm.  He declared that no bones were broken and commanded the swelling to be gone in Jesus’ name.  He released God’s healing power into my arm and then proclaimed healing in Jesus’ name.

I was much comforted by his prayer and the next day, I went to see a doctor.  As he examined me, he confirmed that the left elbow joint was not fractured.  He dispensed medicine to stop the internal pain and the swelling and informed me that it would take at least 2 weeks to recover.

Thank God, within the next 3 days, the pain was gone and I could move my elbow easily.  All praise and glory to Jesus our healer.

Thank you Pastor Tay, Oikos members and my family for praying for me.

Praise the Lord.
