Cambodia Mission Trip Update (21st to 24 May 2007)
by Ps Mark Chew Suhon

Heeding the call for Bethesda Cathedral to be a Mission Sending Church. Pastor Tay and Pastor Mark set out for Cambodia on 21st May together with a team of four other people under the umbrella of International Christian Mission ( Singapore ).

Upon arrival at Pnomh Penh, the team set out straightaway to visit orphanages and house churches in various villages. There, we encouraged the believers in the faith and prayed for the sick. We also gave out candies to all the children in the orphanages.

The next day we continued to visit other orphanages and house churches. At a particular village in Kampong Cham, the local Pastor was personally building a single storey church building. Pastor Tay was moved to help this Pastor in the work financially.

In the evening, we went to a boarding home for university undergraduates. There are around 100 students in the boarding home. Here the students, who are mostly non-Christians, are required to attend bible studies and church services on various days of the week. After their 3-4 years stay in the boarding home, 80-90% of the students come to know the Lord! Praise God!

On the third day, we did a training seminar for local church leaders and Pastors in a church located in Kampong Speu. Around 40 church leaders and Pastors attended the seminar. Pastor Tay prayed for the sick and released the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon them at the end of the seminar. God was moving mightily in our midst as many fell under the power of the Holy Spirit and many people received immediate healing for their pains and ailment. To God be the glory!

It was indeed exciting to see what God is doing in the nation of Cambodia . The door is truly wide open for the gospel to be brought into this nation. Let us believe God for Cambodia to be won for Jesus!
Get ready to be involved!
